چکیده
Abstract The concept of topology is universally observed in various physical objects when the can be described by geometric structures. Although a representative example knotted geometry wavefunctions reciprocal space for quantum Hall family and topological insulators, states have also been defined other quantities, such as topologically distinct Fermi surfaces enhanced lattice degrees freedom hyperbolic geometry. Here, we investigate different class – dynamical state trajectories non-Hermitian nonlinear optical dynamics, revealing protected oscillation quenching mechanisms determined parity–time (PT) symmetry. For coupled systems composed gain loss elements, classify equilibria separately unbroken broken PT symmetry, which result mechanisms: amplitude death death. We then show that these PT-symmetric lead to immunity against temporal perturbations, enabling applications laser modulation rectification. connection between states, phenomena theory, symmetry provides powerful toolkit noise-immune signal processing.

Topologically protected bound states in photonic parity-time-symmetric crystals.
Parity-time (PT)-symmetric crystals are a class of non-Hermitian systems that allow, for example, the existence of modes with real propagation constants, for self-orthogonality of propagating modes, and for uni-directional invisibility at defects. Photonic PT-symmetric systems that also support topological states could be useful for shaping and routing light waves. However, it is currently deba...

متن کاملTopologically protected elastic waves in phononic metamaterials
Surface waves in topological states of quantum matter exhibit unique protection from backscattering induced by disorders, making them ideal carriers for both classical and quantum information. Topological matters for electrons and photons are largely limited by the range of bulk properties, and the associated performance trade-offs. In contrast, phononic metamaterials provide access to a much w...
